The technology was developed by former researchers from the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory in collaboration with industry experts, professors, and publishers. Founded in 2023 the company was incubated in a private equity fund, with investment from Sequoia Capital, Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, and Bain Capital Ventures.
