Filing sales tax returns and paying sales tax are ongoing obligations and can be somewhat predictable. But, when your client or your company is selected for a sales tax audit, it is often viewed as though you hit the lottery in reverse. This may cost us money!? CPAs must be able to assist their companies and their clients with sales tax audits.
Preparing for a sales tax audit
Identifying areas of and quantifying potential tax risks and opportunities.
The audit process.
Taxpayer's rights.

"The "How to Handle a Sales Tax Audit" was a wonderful presentation. The presenter was very knowledgeable and fielded questions from the participants accurately and with confidence. The webinar was short and sweet and direct to the point. I have found all my experiences with CPAacademy.org to be similar. I highly recommend CPAacademy.org for quick, easy and accurate CPE."john, TX
"Very good seminar - it wasn't just the basic sales tax information. The speaker allowed time for questions that allowed a broader and deeper understanding on the subject matter. I think the questions were better than most seminars because the speaker directed the subjects into less basic areas while still not leaving any 'newbies' out."Kathleen, CA
"This was an absolutely stellar course! The topic was presented with great first-hand knowledge and insight. The presenter brought enthusiasm to the class that was contagious. In an arena (CPA Academy) where superior presentations are the norm, Mr. Loyd is an outstanding presenter. I will look for ANY of his presentations in the future."barbara, FL
"Your webinar was most helpful. My client is going through a Sales Tax CA BOE audit and it is the first one I have had. I am use to representation work for clients but here I was working blind until this afternoon. I will review the slides (Thank you for providing them) and Sales Tax Laws and be ready to go. "This was my first webinar and I did enjoy it very much and it did exceed my original expectation. I wasn't sure if I would be able to log in and hear the speakers. So I was pleasantly surprised. The speaker did cover everything on the slides and in the details. I'm sure I will be checking out some other Webinars of interest."Kathleen, CA
"Very informative and relatable. The emphasis on Protest, Appeals can't be stressed enough. This is a hard branch of the Government to work with. They play with a different rule book. This webinar offered some insight to this. Especially offers encouragement to register for all of the webinars in this series."Nathan, OH
"This was an excellent source for information for anyone who has to deal with sales tax issues from the Public Accounting or industry perspective. It provides the foundation you will need to prepare for the sales tax auditing process in a well organized way. Thanks!"Jim, PA
"Loved the small fact that he did it on camera with slides to the side. Made it more personal, and easier to listen to then someone just going on and on reading the screen from the background. Probably the best presentation I've seen on this site in awhile."
